About JOURNEYS | The Road Home

JOURNEYS | The Road Home is a non-profit agency that provides shelter, social services, and housing to the homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless in 37 towns in north/northwest suburban Cook County.

This past year, JOURNEYS served over 800 individuals through its supportive services at the HOPE Center, Emergency Hotel Shelter Program, PADS Shelter program, and Pathways, Housing Readiness Program.

The HOPE Center, provides over 60 supportive services at no cost, to help clients on their journey to housing stability. Some of these services include long-term case management which is compassionately and expertly provided by JOURNEYS’ clinical team.

In addition to case management and assisting with mental health counseling, vocational service, and housing counseling, the clinicians assist in mending family relationships, seeing
non-traditional funding to cover rent, and coordinate with other agencies to keep people in their homes.
