Building for Hope
To increase the capacity to accommodate the growing demand for emergency and ongoing assistance
throughout the region, the agency has launched its Building for Hope capital campaign to construct a
year-round, 24-hour, comprehensive two-story facility which will enable all clients, especially those
with unique needs and challenges, to streamline their journey to stability by receiving on-site critical
supportive services, shelter and permanent housing.
The current 8,000 square foot facility and parking lot at 1140 E. Northwest Highway in Palatine will
become a two-story, year-round fixed shelter site, clinical service day center and affordable housing
purveyor for the homeless.
