​More than just a race, the Superhero 5K is a family fun event that benefits people facing homelessness and housing insecurity in the north and northwest suburbs of Cook County. Don't be shy...come dressed as your favorite hero as you race to support your community. Medals will be awarded to race winners overall and for specific age categories for male and female participants. Dogs are welcomed to join in the fun as long as they are leashed.

Ages 0-10 = $10
Ages 11-17 = $ 40
Age 18 and over = $50

All race materials can be picked on Friday, June 20 from 4–6 PM at JOURNEYS | The Road Home located at 1140 East Northwest Highway, Palatine.

Be A Fundraising Superhero
The top individual and top team fundraisers of the 2025 Superhero 5K, across all events, will each receive the fundraising superhero prize.

The top individual and top team fundraisers will also be displayed on the homepage of our Superhero 5K website. You do not have to be participating in the race to be a fundraising superhero. Click the button below to get you or your team started.

Winners will be determined after virtual Superhero 5K events finalize on June 30.
