Supervises: Not Applicable
Salary: $17.50/hr
Schedule: 5:30 PM – 11:30 PM daily
About Us:
JOURNEYS | The Road Home is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive services and shelter to individuals and families experiencing homelessness and housing instability. Our mission is to empower those we serve to achieve self-sufficiency through a continuum of care that includes housing, supportive services, and community engagement. Position Overview:
The Part Time Program Support Associate will help oversee the safety and security of our clients during the evening. This is a newly created part time position that collaborates with volunteers, security and other staff to ensure clients have a safe and welcoming place to be 7 days a week.
Experience in human services is a plus, but not necessary. The right candidate can easily learn the skills to be an excellent human services worker. We are looking to hire 2 part time employees that combined will work 5:30pm-11:30pm daily.
 
Program Associate Key Responsibilities:
  • Document and maintain accurate logs of activities, incidents, and observations
  • Assist volunteers, clients, or visitors with inquiries and concerns over the weekend
  • Stay updated with emergency procedures and protocols
  • Administrative work as assigned
  • Laundry duties as necessitated by the program
  • Adherence to all company policies, procedures, and regulations
 
As a Program Support Associate, you will…
  • Work with multicultural communities.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate boundaries with staff, volunteers, and all stakeholders.
  • Seek supervisory help regularly and accept constructive criticism to become more skilled.
  • Build rapport quickly with people from a wide variety of cultural and socioeconomic groups.

  • Use Microsoft products and a web-based database or a willingness to train on them.
  • Demonstrate a passion to help the underserved.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff team.
  • Respond swiftly to emergencies.
  • Perform other duties as necessary

The work schedule varies depending on the needs of the agency. Occasional evening and weekend work is necessary.
